CASY Preschool expects all students to attend from September – May. All a.m. classes can be supplemented with programs from 7:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. Clubhouse, a supervised play program, will be made available from the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m. if sign up is sufficient.

Additional Programs

Optional Lunch Bunch is available for all other classes (2’s must be potty trained) from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Students eat with friends from 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., recess from 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.

What activities occur during the Extended Day Program?

Extended Day was designed to give students a quality preschool experience in a less structured environment than in our morning program. Low ratios provide for close supervision. Daily activities include story time, craft projects, art, puzzles, building, housekeeping, and more.

Many of the activities reinforce what goes on in the mornings. Less structure encourages creativity, cooperative learning, listening and communication skills. Supervision and activities are directed by regular CASY Teachers, not college students.

Added special activities include:

Mondays: Science Explorers
Development of the curious mind might be the greatest gift we can give a preschooler. Our science explorers will improve their logic, ability to predict, vocabulary and observation skills while having fun with science.

Tuesdays: Around the World
This program offers a broad range of activities focusing on the unique and varied cultures that spans the globe. Ruth Ann Myers has developed this exploration of music, art, and culture from faraway places. This fun and exciting class is sure to appeal to students of all ages! Filled with music, art, and cultural activities, your child will span the globe on Tuesday afternoons.

Wednesdays and Thursdays: Gymnastics
Fantastic gymnastics fun! Each class covers the basics of gymnastics – a mini gym on wheels equipped with everything from rings to balance beams. There is an additional charge for gymnastics and it is only available to students attending the Preschool Extended Day Program.

Fridays: Showtime
You would have to see how much serious fun our students have singing into a microphone during karaoke. Break dancing to our beat box develops rhythm, coordination, and is great exercise with occasional skits and puppets. Friday is an absolute blast!
